Rated Ox For June 14

ox001.jpgI actually sat in a fast-food restaurant during the course of this past week and saw a man eat two cheeseburgers at once. As in two meat patties, two slices of cheese, two sets of condiments, and two buns, stacked one on top of the other and being chewed into at the same time. It was a frightful sight which I am bound to forget about some day, now that I have used it as a lead-in to the list of my ten favourite songs I wrote about in the past two weeks.

Here they are in order of appearance:

ox001.jpgThis has been another very hectic time in the Ox compound, what with copious amounts of work cutting into the precious amounts of time I wish to spend in front of my computer, writing about the wonderful, wonderful music this great big blue ball of liquid, solid, and gas has to offer us.

Hopefully, I will be able to shirk some responsibilities and return to a more regular schedule this week. I will take great strides into doing so.

But, in the meantime, I have some Rated Ox catching up to do as I hadn’t done enough write-ups the week before, so here is the list of my ten favourite songs I wrote about in the past two weeks.

ox001.jpgYikes! Another really hard week to decide who to single out as my five favourite songs out of the bucket of tunes I wrote about over the past seven days. There has been a rather spectacular mix of interesting new stuff and old favourites poking around with new material, so it’s rather complex to get the feel for five exceptional songs which are a cut above the rest.

So without further exception, here is the list of my five favourite songs I wrote about in the past week, in order of appearance:

Rated Ox for April 26

ox001.jpgYou know what’s really stressful? Having no news from your accountant two weeks after dropping off your papers at her office and with the tax deadline looming above your head. I mean, yeah, she told me it would be last minute for me to go sign the papers, but I wasn’t expecting last minute, you know what I mean? I’m beginning to be bothered that she isn’t returning my calls. I know she’s busy and all, seeing as this is Christmas for accountants… but it’s not as if I really need another anxiety-ridden ordeal.

Perhaps by listening to some great songs my nerves will be soothed. Let’s give it a try: here is the list of my five favourite songs I wrote about in the past week.

Rated Ox For April 19

ox001.jpgOuch. This has been a week of especially high-calibre music finds, and this has been the toughest Rated Ox edition I’ve had to do in the short history of this weekly retrospective featurette. I mean real tough. I listened over and over again to each song I wrote about, then selected these five from an already skimmed down shortlist, after re-listening to each track about a dozen times each.

Don’t agree? Well why couldn’t you tell me what you think? Or better yet, you could try to beat some sense into me

At any rate, no matter how hard it was, here is the list of my five favourite songs I wrote about in the past week.

ox001.jpgIt’s another week coming to close, and I am in the market for a good, solid pair of bookends. My bookshelf would be extremely satisfied if I could press all the collected written works messily strewn about into a single, neat file. I know this because my bookshelf looks tired. It’s a sad sight, that. A tired-looking bookshelf.

Anyway, here is the list of my five favourite songs I wrote about in the past week.

ox001.jpgHaving a blown alternator on a motor vehicle used for everyday transportation along with a sick newborn baby can seriously hamper one’s capability to perform. That is something I came to grips with last week when the aforemention combination of mechanical and physical disasters prevented me from compiling my list of Rated Ox songs of the week.

So I’m going to go for a double dose today. Here is the list of my ten favourite songs I wrote about in the past two weeks.

ox001.jpgAnother week has come to an end, and with it, recollections of things I did this week. Let it be known I paid my cable bill. Let it be known I got a flat tire. Let it be known I sent an email containing sensitive company information to a client. Let it be known that these are my five favourite tracks I wrote about this week.

ox001.jpgNothing says “love” like starting a new feature on your weblog. So without further riff-raff, here are my five favourite songs I covered this week right here on A Limerick Ox. I like to say that they have been “rated ox.” Catchy, right? Grows the brand, too.
