I never, ever realised just how bad I needed Frank’s Red Hot sauce in shepherd’s pie until the day I plopped a few shots of it in my plate.

The sauce’s tangy zest and spicy warmth succeeded in elevating the meat, potatoes, and corn combination to flavour levels never achieved by such an undistinguished meal. Since then, shepherd’s pie without Franks’s Red Hot is unthinkable to me, a union as indivisible as Godzilla movies and rubber suits.

In that light, I wonder how I will ever be able to disassociate Radiohead’s Nude from Holy Fuck’s intervention. I’m not a fan of remixes. I generally skim over them without a second thought, preferring to concentrate on the source material. But the combination of two of my favourite bands was a prospect I couldn’t pass up. Unsurprisingly, Holy Fuck deliver a remix which succeeds in remaining both true to Radiohead’s and their own sound. The stylistic approach is unabashedly their own and yet they excel in maintaining Nude’s languorous atmosphere.

It was produced for the Radiohead remix contest, of which, Holy Fuck, is currently holding the #1 spot. Rightfully so.
