The D’Urbervilles

coverart-thedubervilles.jpgSatisfaction can arrive in many a form. I, for one, find intense satisfaction in the wearing of a real comfy hat.

Yes, there is quite nothing like a hat which hugs your skull in the most adequate of ways, which makes for your loose hair to sprawl in fashionably acceptable manners, and which, above all, permits you to stylishly ward off bothersome individuals and their trivial ramblings with a well-timed flip of the rim, letting them know right upon their approach that their presence is unwelcome.

I also find great satisfaction in discovering great Canadian bands, like the d’Ubervilles. Yes, I can extract high amounts of pleasurability with their post-punk sensibilities, their new wave undertone, and their deliberate approach to making excellent politically-minded moody tunes. They will most certainly give me even more satisfaction as they release their first LP on February 19 entitled We Are The Hunters.

Had I been a hunting fan, I would have quite possibly derided satisfaction from the title, as well.
