Here’s my theory:
Rock music was invented so white guys who can’t sing could get laid. Rap music was invented so black guys who can’t sing could get laid. Therefore, techno music was invented so geeks who spend too much time with computers could get laid. And there could never be a truer example of that than Hot Chip.
The most stirring collection of nerds, dorks, dolts and dweebs to ever grace a dance club, these fodder-for-jocks are the architects of wonderful electronic beats which seem to even get the dancing impaired out there boogying. They release today their third album and follow-up to the extraordinary The Warning, entitled Made In The Dark, and give us the title track of the album as a free download: A romantic, suitable-for-dimly-lit-rooms creation which serves to show off their diverse musical sound.
And also, you know, to help themselves get laid.
